Our Mission
Our mission is to provide justice-impacted individuals with the comprehensive support they need to thrive. We are dedicated to promoting healing, resilience, and personal development by offering tailored programs that address the unique challenges they face. At 101 Ways, we believe in advocating for systemic changes that reduce incarceration rates and pave the way for a more just and equitable society.
Our Approach
At 101 Ways, our approach is grounded in the principles of empathy, community, and mutual support. We understand that working together in a supportive environment fosters healing and growth. By offering guidance, resources, and empowerment, we inspire justice-impacted individuals to overcome obstacles, build strong futures, and contribute positively to their communities. We are committed to creating lasting change by advocating for systemic reforms that support a fairer, more inclusive society for all.
At 101 Ways, we are committed to supporting people impacted by incarceration and providing the tools they need for healing and success. Through our holistic services, we foster personal growth, community, and long-term transformation, helping justice-impacted individuals build better futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.
As a proud member of the National Sisterhood Alliance for Freedom & Equality (SAFE) Housing Network, we live by the motto, 'Collaboration is Key!' We believe that successful reintegration, building community, and empowering justice-impacted individuals requires collective effort and unity. By working together in many ways, we create lasting change for the people we serve.
We believe in offering support without limitations. We do not have income restrictions and welcome justice-impacted individuals into our homes, regardless of their current financial situation. Additionally, we don't impose time limits on how long a participant may stay, understanding that each person has their own unique path to healing. We empower justice-impacted individuals to choose their journey and provide the flexibility they need to achieve their goals.
The Story of 101 Ways
In 2018, we set out to turn pain into purpose. Our journey began with a vision, born from the heartache and experiences of our Founder, Jennifer Andrews—a disabled veteran who had faced more than her share of challenges. She lived through substance use disorder, childhood trauma, domestic violence, incarceration, homelessness, systemic racism, and poverty. These struggles weren’t just obstacles; they were the very fabric of her life, each challenge threatening to define her future.
But instead of letting these hardships control her, Jennifer chose to transform them. She understood that the road she had traveled, full of adversity, had the power to change not only her life but the lives of others. She knew that no one should have to face healing alone, so from her pain, we created 101 Ways NFP. Our purpose is to provide justice-impacted individuals, their families, and communities with the support, guidance, and resources they need to heal and thrive.
Having overcome her own struggles, Jennifer pursued a path of education and healing. Today, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Christian Psychology, which deepened her understanding of the mind, spirit, and the intricacies of human suffering. She also became a Certified Community Health Worker, equipping herself with the skills to guide others on their own path to recovery.
Armed with her knowledge and personal experience, Jennifer founded 101 Ways, driven by a commitment to help justice-impacted individuals who had walked similar paths. She knew firsthand that overcoming the effects of incarceration, substance use, and poverty wasn’t just about providing resources—it was about creating a community where people could heal, build resilience, and rediscover their purpose.
We are more than just a nonprofit; we are a community rooted in lived experience. At 101 Ways, we offer justice-impacted individuals the chance to heal, grow, and create a new path forward. We provide a range of comprehensive programs, from family reunification services and entrepreneurship training to substance use support and case management. Each of our services is designed to meet the unique needs of the people we serve, ensuring they receive emotional, mental, and practical support to rebuild their lives.
Our work is a testament to the power of turning pain into purpose. Jennifer’s journey of overcoming immense adversity is a reminder that, with the right support, anyone can transform their past into a powerful force for change. Through our leadership, we have helped countless justice-impacted individuals rebuild their lives, find their voice, and achieve personal and professional success.
We believe that no one is ever too broken to rebuild. With the right support, there are always 101 Ways to rise again. And that’s exactly what we do every day—helping justice-impacted individuals rewrite their stories, heal from their past, and step confidently into a future full of promise.
